This home was a $1,000,000 purchase for a foreign investor. Initially he was going to have his family use it as a vacation home, but now he may end up flipping the house for resale. Either way, La Jolla, California is a beautiful location, and as home remodeling specialist I had a wonderful time serving this client.

We barely added any new floor area, just a small extension of a first floor bedroom. Although we did not increase the Foyer, we did remove the roof, re-built it with taller walls, and redesigned the staircase to open up the entire front portion of this home. We relocated the Kitchen from the front of the house, which was all the way at the wrong end of the layout, and placed it closer to the outside pool entertainment part of the yard. Many interior walls were removed to create a more open floor plan, created a floor-to-ceiling glass wine vault, and opened up the rear wall with a new NanaWall sliding door system. The outcome will be stunning. All that was on the first floor.

The second floor got a complete gut and replace, relocating the Master Suite to a view side of the house, remodeling to create a second Master Suite, and still more remodeling to allow for a Guest Quarters that can be rented in their absence. An absolutely stunning result.

Stay tuned for more updates coming soon. This will be a One-of-a-Kind residential remodel in the San Diego area.
